What Is a Half Hex Body Blind Rivet Nut?
A half hex body blind rivet nut is a threaded insert designed to create a strong, reusable internal thread in thin sheet metal and other materials where access is available from only one side.
This style combines a partially hex-shaped body with installation in a standard round mounting hole. The half hex body helps resist spinning under torque while avoiding the need to prepare a full hexagonal hole.
Also known as a half hex rivet nut, half hex rivnut, half hex nutsert, or blind threaded insert, it is installed using a rivet nut tool that collapses the unthreaded portion of the body behind the material, creating a secure mechanical attachment.

Half Hex Rivet Nut Installation
Half hex blind rivet nuts are installed from one side of the material using a compatible hand, pneumatic or hydraulic rivet nut tool.
The rivet nut is inserted into the recommended round mounting hole and threaded onto the tool mandrel. The tool applies an axial pulling force, collapsing the unthreaded portion of the body behind the material and securing the insert in place.
